Carbon was launched in 2014 by Jamie Davison and Nathan Hood, who together shared a vision on how they could help business owners achieve their goals. Find out more about Carbon’s history.
In 2019, our Osborne Park team expanded when we partnered with Rise Business Solutions. Accounting Partner Dom Papaluca and Carbon co-founder Nathan Hood had a long history, having worked together at Nathan’s firm, Sterling Accountants, before he launched Carbon.
In 2020, we moved slightly down the road, but maintained our grassroots in Osborne Park. Our new head office is packed with everything you’d expect from a Carbon office: Busy accountants, bookkeepers and financial people, and of course, table tennis and a pool table!
We showed no signs of slowing down in 2021 when we partnered with Perth-based firm, Haydon Kinnaird, and welcomed their full team to our Osborne Park office.
In 2023, we began collaborating with Kensington Financial Group, an accounting and financial services firm based in Perth. This marked a significant milestone in our journey, as we welcomed the Kensington Financial Group’s accounting and wealth teams to our Osborne Park office and gained a new Accounting & Tax Partner, Wayne French. This partnership not only expands our expertise and capabilities but also ensures a smooth transition for Kensington Financial Group’s clients, who can now benefit from our combined strengths and resources.

Nathan bought into Sterling Accountants in 2006 and then co-founded Carbon with Jamie in 2014. Nathan was the foundation to our accounting team in Perth, and leads our accountants in Osborne Park. He finds it extremely rewarding to work with business owners to improve their profitability and watch their companies grow.
