Our proud history
In early 2019, Carbon opened our doors in Sydney after welcoming the team at The Accounts Studio to the Carbon family.
The team of bookkeepers, based in Surry Hills, have been helping local businesses in Sydney with all things bookkeeping for many years. They had established a reputation as one of Xero’s most efficient bookkeeping firms in New South Wales, and Carbon Sydney is proud to have continued this since we joined forces.

Giving back to our local community is very important to Carbon and is something we do across all our offices. To us, giving back requires more than just a monetary donation, so in addition to that we also get involved in various activities to raise awareness and funds.

Igor joined Carbon in 2019 by launching our accounting division in Melbourne. He has a passion for helping people and businesses and get a great delight at helping clients reach their goals and fulfilling their dreams. Igor was born in Croatia, lived in Malaysia for 7 years, and now calls Melbourne home.
Anthony McPhee
PARTNER
Anthony joined Carbon in 2020, bringing over 25 years' of experience to the team. His passion lies in his ability to guide his clients through their business journey. Anthony is currently learning Russian and loves to golf.
Josh Dearle
PARTNER
Josh Dearle is a CA who joined Carbon in 2020 with a wealth of experience in helping businesses access the R&D tax incentive. Having worked at EY, Grant Thorton, BDO and Deloitte, Josh worked with a variety of businesses and enjoys forming lasting relationships.
Wellington Takakura
PARTNER
Wellington joined us in 2019 when The Accounts Studio merged with us to launch Carbon Sydney. As a partner, Wellington takes pride in helping his clients work efficiently through automation, so they can focus on growing their business. Wellington is originally from Brazil, and moved to Australia in 2010 for a 6-month trip but never returned!

Fenix Bryant partnered with Carbon in 2019 to launch Carbon Concierge. As someone who thrives on achieving the best possible result for clients, Fenix finds value in being able to find a solution for every business’ problem.
Mark Spencer
DIRECTOR
Mark joined Carbon in 2020 to head-up our insurance division. With nearly 30 years experience within the Perth Intermediated Insurance sector, Mark has extensive knowledge of both industry and product disciplines which he passes onto his SME and corporate clients.
Andreas Kettemann
DIRECTOR
Andreas joined Carbon in 2018 as a director within our wealth division. He specialises in superannuation and retirement planning, including asset protection, cash flow management, SMSFs and investments. Andreas is passionate about ensuring his clients achieve their financial goals and being part of their journey in achieving them.
Ryan Eastman
DIRECTOR
Ryan joined Carbon Finance after working seven years at Westpac in personal banking, business banking and home finance roles. Previously, he worked for Perth’s largest property investment firms as a broker. Originally from Country Victoria, he moved to Perth in 2013. Ryan takes an advice-based approach to mortgage broking, liaising with the respective experts to ensure his clients’ lending strategy compliments their other investments.
Jacob Reed
DIRECTOR
With a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Cert IV and Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking, Jacob was previously a finance broker at a large investment firm before joining the team at Carbon Finance. As a finance broker, Jacob offers advisory based mortgage and finance strategies tailored to clients' individual goals.
Jamie Davison
CO-FOUNDER
Jamie is a CPA with a swag of university degrees and broad experience across chartered and corporate accounting. He co-founded Carbon with Nathan in 2014 and is the foundation of our bookkeeping team. Aside from Carbon, Jamie spends his time as a board member for multiple tech start-ups and believes in giving back to the community.
Nathan Hood

Nathan bought into Sterling Accountants in 2006 and then co-founded Carbon with Jamie in 2014. Nathan was the foundation to our accounting team in Perth, and leads our accountants in Osborne Park. He finds it extremely rewarding to work with business owners to improve their profitability and watch their companies grow.
Mason Dunn
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mason joined Carbon as our Group Financial Controller after impressive stints in EY and Wesfarmers. When Mason isn’t busy making us all look good, he enjoys snorkelling and camping outdoors, playing video games, and staring lovingly at his Pokémon card collection.

Before moving into financial planning and working with high-net-worth clients, Tracie started her career as an assistant accountant in 1996. In 2002, she started her own financial planning practice, advising clients on financial strategy, superannuation, insurance, SMSF and investment management. Since selling her business, she’s worked as a consultant and non-executive Director for several not-for-profits and early-stage companies. Tracie describes financial planning as a very rewarding career as you’re able to help educate clients on the benefits of saving.
Poonam Di Iorio

A Chartered Accountant, SMSF Accredited Specialist and financial adviser with over 18 years of experience in public practice and a Bachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting and Finance, Poonam is a true asset to our team. With a passion for superannuation, she loves being able to build lasting relationships with clients and help them achieve their financial and personal goals. Outside of work you can find Poonam reading, catching up with friends, dancing or spending hours at the beach.

Hayden tried something different (psychology), but the financial services world called him back and he's now very happily here at Carbon. Hayden has travelled the world extensively (you name it, he's probably done it) but has now settled down to the joys of family bliss.

After working as HR Manager for Club Med in Europe, Susanne came to Australia on an adventure holiday and hasn't left! After moving, Susanne started her MBA where she discovered her interest in law and has since studied law at UWA and completed her Masters as well. Susanne loves to travel, and twice a year goes to Germany to ski and hike the Alps.

His love for playing with technology and assisting staff has been a common drive in his role at Carbon. Arnie is a Perth local but enjoys venturing to new places by camping and seeing new sites!
