Dale Ettridge CA

Bookkeeping & CFO Services Associate Partner

A Chartered Accountant with a background in Audit, Dale joined Carbon in 2020, looking to spice things up. With his degree in Accounting and Finance from UWA, Dale stepped into the role of Manager – Enterprise Advisory and hit the ground running – figuratively speaking that is, as Dale injured his ACL just days before his first day.

What Dale loves most about working in the industry is his ability to get to know his clients and dive deep into their business insights to help them make smarter business decisions. Dale joined Carbon to unlock more career doors and in less than one year, he stepped into the role of Associate Partner in our Bookkeeping & CFO Services division through our Path to Partner program.

Business tips from Dale

Don’t be afraid to leave your comfort zone, and always ask for forgiveness rather than permission. It’s better to take control of your business by taking risks, not sitting on the sidelines.

If you can work through your numbers (or hire someone to help you), you can understand the underlying information and discover insights into your business that can lead to bigger profits down the line.

Spend time on the things you do well and outsource the things that take up your time. Even legal teams have legal counsel and tax teams have tax advisors. Hiring externally doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t do it; it just means you are allocating more time for yourself and your team to focus on more proactive areas of your business.

Get to know Dale

You've worked hard to create your business so make sure you take care of it, invest in it and accept help when you need it.
