Our proud history

Carbon opened the doors to its Mt Waverley office in 2020 after joining forces with Bosker Accounting and Ross Group, two local Melbourne accounting firms.

Led by Igor Hnatko, Bosker Accounting had been helping grow, sustain and improve their client’s businesses for over 20 years.

Ross Group was a family-owned business led by Ashley Ross that had been providing trusted accounting and financial planning services to small and medium business clients for over 30 years.

When Carbon partnered with Igor, Ashley and the teams at Bosker Accounting and Ross Group, we launched our Mt Waverley office to provide business owners with local experts they could trust.

Proudly supporting our Mt Waverley Community

It’s important to us at Carbon Mount Waverley to give back to our local community, in more ways than donations so our accounting team launched a special initiative with the Women’s Property Initiative. Our Mount Waverley accountants offered free tax return services to families affected by COVID-19 and women who’ve suffered from domestic violence.

A few causes we’ve supported include the Make a Wish Foundation, ALPMA, Movember and the Push-Up Challenge. Our Mount Waverley team lead our Carbonites nationally to complete 3,318 push-ups during June.

Outside the office, Nick enjoys spending time with his young family and watching a good movie. He’s also a mad AFL Tigers fan, but we don’t hold that against him.

    After moving from South Africa to Australia when he was 14, Sean graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce and joins our team with over 20 years of experience. Sean is our saving grace and our go-to man for all SMSF related things. Aside from superannuation, Sean is very passionate about music, specifically grunge and brit pop revolutions from the 90’s. His perfect weekend involves a morning bike ride, attempting an escape room (and probably failing) and spending the night in with his family with a giant grazing board of cheese.

She also delights in sharing random trivia… did you know that a Blue Whale tongue weighs more than an elephant?

Fun fact about Jen, she used to run her own bookkeeping consultancy which has given her a lot of tricks and tips that she uses in her role at Carbon.
