David Martin, CA CTA

David started his career with a bad haircut and a thin tie back in 1979 (his words, not ours!). He’s come a long way since then and today, he is a leader in taxation and business advisory. David joined Carbon in 2023, following the partnership between his firm, Harding Martin and Carbon Group, which led to the launch of our Carbon Ipswich office.

He’s worked with small to medium businesses across Australia and overseas. An expert in Australian Taxation and business advice, David also has more than 30 years of experience in business development, strategic and business planning, purchases and sales, structuring and restructuring, valuations, cash flow management, corporate and business law, intellectual property and IT. His knowledge in these areas has seen him work with many types of businesses including manufacturing, innovation, health and other professions, transport, retail and wholesale trade including import and export, civil works, infrastructure, engineering and construction trades, primary production, motor trades, and hospitality.

A devoted family man, David enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoys a good drop of wine and participating in motorsports events (although not at the same time).
