Perth City Farm is a 26-year-old Urban Farm that provides space to build community connections and to educate and enable people to live sustainably. Established on a former industrial site in East Perth, this polluted site has been lovingly rehabilitated by volunteers to become a Western Australian icon for environmental sustainability and community engagement. Perth City Farm hosts various educational programs for adults and children, teaching a range of skills including permaculture gardening, food preservation, recycled crafts and animal husbandry. They also play host to a wide variety of community events, festivals and conferences. The venue is also available to hire for private functions, such as weddings, which fund our environmental and community endeavours.
Perth City Farm was previously a branch of the not-for-profit organisation Trillion Trees (also a Carbon client). In 2017, Perth City Farm separated from Trillion Trees and became a separate not-for-profit organisation with its own constitution and board. Perth City Farm continued its relationship with Carbon and engaged us early on to ensure all their bookkeeping needs were met correctly. Carbon also provided financial insight to the team and made sure all tax compliance requirements were being met.
