About Haverford Brands

With a history dating back to 1888, Haverford Brands is a family-run importing and wholesale business best known for supplying quality netting, fishing and outdoor products. In 2005, the company shifted its focus toward eCommerce. Today, over 60 per cent of its sales are made online through a mix of Shopify stores and eBay.

“In early 2020 my family had an opportunity to sell the business and there were only seven of us working in the business at that time,” says Mark Winney, Managing Director. “I was managing the finances and we had part-time admin support for the bookkeeping. An external accountant would check in every six months or so.”

As the business expanded so did the need for better systems, especially to support its growing online operations. That’s where Carbon Sydney came in.

“We were still using MYOB as our finance system and running three Shopify sites and two eBay stores but nothing was integrated. We were managing stock, inventory and sales data manually, which was incredibly inefficient, time-consuming and prone to human error.”
