Ryan Eastman

Director

Ryan joined Carbon Finance after working seven years at Westpac in personal banking, business banking and home finance roles. Previously, he worked for Perth’s largest property investment firms as a broker. Along with this valuable experience, Ryan has a Cert IV and Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking.

Ryan takes an advice-based approach to mortgage broking, liaising with the respective experts to ensure his clients’ lending strategy compliments their other investments. Covering all aspects of finance and lending, he specialises in home, commercial and investment lending, asset finance and business cash flow lending.

Ryan finds the finance industry extremely rewarding; he gets to help people achieve the dream of buying their first home, help them begin their property investment journey, grow/buy a business, get that car they’ve always wanted or take that holiday they’ve been craving.

Partnering with Carbon Group

Ryan has been successfully running his own business since 2016, alongside business partner Jacob Reed. This has been his biggest achievement to date, since this period was the toughest market Perth has seen since the 80s. This culminated in the two becoming partners of Carbon Finance and the division has been performing at its best since. Ryan and Jacob saw Carbon as a great fit due to our alignment of creating great outcomes for clients and seeing their businesses succeed and grow as well as enjoying being part of our fun, inclusive culture.

Business tips from Ryan

If you’re looking to lower costs and increase cash flow, reviewing the interest rate on your home, commercial or investment loans on a regular basis could prove to be a wise move. On average, Australians are paying 4.42% on their home loan. Ryan advises he’s seeing home loans around 3.70%, meaning on a $400k mortgage, you could potentially save $2,880 per year in interest (per Canstar).

Outside work, Ryan plays footy for Katanning and is a keen basketball spectator. He’s also a gaming nerd and loves to travel. Originally from Bendigo, in country Victoria (home of the Chiko Roll!), he moved to Perth in 2013.

Regularly review your loan interest rate. Your situation has probably changed since you first took out the loan, and there may be a better option that could save you $1,000s in interest per year.
