New Accounting & Tax Partner David Block launches Carbon Adelaide

At Carbon, we like to go big with our announcements so it should come as no surprise that not only are we welcoming a new Accounting & Tax Partner, but we’re also expanding our South Australian presence. 

Ready to make a big step in his career, David joins Carbon from Hood Sweeney where he was an Associate. David knew he’d found his niche when he met with Carbon Co-Founders Nathan Hood and Jamie Davison. 

“I was keen to join a like-minded team who share my passion for relentless business improvement and value creation for clients. The team at Carbon are constantly looking for new and different ways of doing things, and that’s a journey I’m excited to be a part of,” said David. 

It’s this passion that led David to become an accountant, and his mission is to help people make a difference in the world through their business. 

Two areas that David particularly enjoys about being an accountant is data, and the ability to have a big impact on his clients’ businesses.  

“I love working with data, especially helping clients make sense of it and converting it to actionable insights. Most business owners are eager to make a difference in the world through their business – why else would they have started it? – and I can help them do this with data, different ideas and support.” 

For Carbon Co-Founder Nathan, having David join the Carbon team presents an exciting opportunity. 

“Expanding our reach further into South Australia is something we have been working towards, and it’s great to see it starting to take shape. David has a lot of experience, which he’ll use to help Adelaide business owners succeed,” said Nathan. 

Specialising in agri-business, wine and professional services, David has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Diploma of Chartered Accounting and is a Registered Tax Agent. For his clients, this means when you’re working with David you can trust you’re working with someone who truly knows their stuff.
