2019 is already looking to be one of our most exciting years so far, and our latest news simply adds to the excitement!
Carbon Expands to Sydney
Our team is thrilled to announce that we have merged with the team at The Accounts Studio, meaning we now have an office in Sydney! What makes this merger even more exciting is that The Account Studio’s managing director, Sophie Andrews will continue to service her clients as a Carbon Bookkeeping partner.
This marks our 15th merger to date, and we couldn’t be happier that it also means we have a presence across four states. When we launched back in 2014, we made a five-year plan that by July 2019, we’d have hubs in every state in Australia. With only a few months remaining until our fifth birthday, we have almost reached that seemingly unrealistic goal!
Carbon’s CFO Mason Dunn described how NSW presents us with an ideal demographic to service.
“Having personally spent a significant amount of time in Sydney in recent years, I think it’s an exciting market to be moving in to. Sydney’s growing population has resulted in an increasing number of entrepreneurs and business owners and we are excited to be partnering with Sophie and The Accounts Studio to be able to help those entrepreneurs on their journey. Sophie has an extremely strong reputation in Sydney, so we know we are starting our own journey in Sydney with a very talented team.”
Welcoming New Team Members
Sophie has a further six team members who are also coming on board to become Carbonites.
“When I first started talking to Carbon it was quickly apparent that we shared a lot of values and a similar approach to how we do business. The opportunity looked like a great opportunity for our firm and our clients.” Said Sophie.
Carbon has experienced exciting growth over the last 12 months, particularly in Melbourne. Our Melbourne partner, Allison, welcomed the teams from Books in Shape and more recently Platinum Bookkeeping, building a strong presence in eastern states. The recent merger in Sydney further strengths our presence outside of our launch office in Western Australia.
Looking Forward to Continued Growth
Our growth story over the past few years is one to be proud of, and we’re looking forward to our continued growth! Read more about Carbon’s journey since launching in 2014.
