Samara Badgery, FCA

Samara joins us as an Accounting & Tax Partner in our Brisbane office after her firm Integrity Wealth joined forces with Carbon in 2023. Having started her career working in more traditional accounting firms that did not value her vibrant personality, in her own business she has dedicated the past decade to providing a friendly, caring and fun environment for her team and nurturing authentic relationships with her clients.

Over the past 20 years, Samara has gained invaluable experience in understanding the needs of small business owners and families. She applies this knowledge to assist her clients in achieving their business and lifestyle goals and has a particular interest in succession planning to ensure families are able to protect the wealth they work so hard to create and grow.

Prioritise self-care. Running a successful business requires so much from you as an owner, constantly juggling the demands of customers, suppliers, your team, the ATO and other regulators. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, taking time away from work to look after yourself will restore your energy and focus and make you more effective. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you owe it to yourself and the people depending on you to be at your best.

Samara enjoys spending time in nature, caring for animals, catching up with friends and family and travelling to new destinations.  She is active in various community service roles including Legacy, CAANZ public practice committees, ATO working groups and the CA Program.  She also loves lying on the couch with her husband binge-watching TV shows.
