Why did Michelle choose accounting?
Michelle loves working with business owners to help them achieve their goals. Most people start a business because they are passionate about an idea product or service that they had. The tax and accounting obligations that come with that can, at times, take the focus away from that passion. Michelle loves being the person who helps business owners understand the numbers around their business. She believes it gives clarity and planning opportunities, so her clients can take their business to the next level. By doing that, they can achieve the life and family goals that they have in mind. Michelle loves being a part of the whole scenario.
Business tips from Michelle
You started your business because you were passionate about an idea, product or service that you had. Focus your time money and effort on your business. By making that your focus, your business will grow and you will achieve what you first set out to do. Don’t monopolize your time with stuff you don’t like or don’t fully understand (whether that’s admin, accounting, bookkeeping or marketing etc). It’s much more efficient and effective to outsource this to people who are skilled, passionate and dedicated to those very things.

Your accountant should be a part of your business – not a school principal type who marks your books at year end and that’s it! Find an accountant who encourages you to contact them often and who you actually want to talk to!
