Business Tips from Michael

  1. Set Clear Goals and Objectives: Written goals, whether short, medium or long-term, provide essential accountability. Revisiting these annually helps clients stay on track and motivated.
  2. Diversify Investment Risk: Avoid concentrating investments in one area; a well-diversified portfolio across multiple financial sectors builds resilience and growth potential.
  3. Don’t Delay Superannuation Contributions: Starting super contributions early allows for tax-free growth over time, ensuring a stronger financial foundation in retirement.

Get to Know Michael

Before calling Elsternwick home, Michael grew up in the small country town of Korumburra in South Gippsland, Victoria, where sport played a central role in his life. He spent years playing senior football, including two memorable seasons alongside his father, and continued to pursue cricket and basketball. In 2008, Michael’s competitive spirit led him to take up cycling, which quickly became a passion. He now rides three to four times a week.

Michael’s ideal weekend balances time with friends and family. It starts with a morning ride, followed by spending time with his wife and sons and ends with an evening out with friends, good food and a few glasses of wine. Among his favourite places travelled are the Dolomites in Northern Italy, known for stunning hikes and Hallstatt in Austria, a destination he describes as breathtakingly beautiful.

Building financial security doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it's about starting early, setting clear goals and making informed decisions along the way. With the right guidance, anyone can create a path to financial freedom. Let’s start that journey together.
