About Jason – Chartered Accountant and Registered BAS Agent in Forrestdale

Jason Parish brings over 25 years of experience to Carbon Group, spanning roles in public practice accountancy, including insolvency and forensic accounting. He has also served in various capacities within businesses and not-for-profit organisations as an accountant, financial controller and company secretary. Through these roles, Jason has garnered broad expertise across multiple industries such as hospitality, telecommunications, manufacturing, technology startups, oil and gas and professional services consultancy.

After graduating from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy, Jason enhanced his skills in Santa Barbara, California, gaining invaluable international experience before returning to Australia to continue his career.

In 2020, Jason merged his accounting firm, Parish Business Services, with Carbon, drawn by our innovative approach to accounting and shared passion for leveraging technology to benefit both accountants and clients.

Get to know Jason

Jason was born in Perth but has lived in Singapore, Canberra, Northern Tasmania and California. He is actively involved with the UWA Rugby Football Club and enjoys homebrewing. Jason also engages deeply with his in-laws’ Italian heritage, participating in wine-making and traditional Italian food preparations. Jason spent nearly eight years as an Infantry Soldier in the Army Reserve and as a result, is a very good hole digger.
