Applications for the 2021 COVID-19 Business Support Grants will open at 12pm on 16 August.
Grants of $5,000 are up for offer to eligible small and medium businesses and not-for-profit organisations who were affected by August lockdowns.
To be eligible, you must:
- Employ staff
- Have a Queensland quarters
- Have an annual turnover of more than $75,000
- Have an annual payroll in Queensland of not more than $10 million
- Show or declare a reduction in turnover of 30% or more for a one week period that includes at least one full day of any of the Queensland lockdowns.

$260 million package announced 2 August to support Queensland businesses
As Queensland entered lockdown on 31 July 2021, the Queensland Government has announced a new business package to support local businesses, particularly small and medium sized enterprises.
Eligible businesses will receive a payment of $5,000, on top of the COVID-19 disaster payments which were confirmed on 1 August 2021.
The grants will be available to not just businesses located in the lockdown areas but to all Queensland businesses, and large businesses that operate in the hospitality and tourism industry.
